The Great Charity Pie Auction during intermission of our show has two charity recipients, as per Nicci of The Back Door's choosing:

Supernatural is a TV show that began in September 2005. It began as a salute to American urban legends. It has now become a beloved series, running for over 10 years. The show centers around two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, who are hunters - they fight demons and monsters that harm every day humans.

 Derek Von Zipper – though not always known by that name – has a long history of making people laugh as both a street and stage performer in Renaissance Festivals in Georgia and Florida. He also has a history of making people pee themselves in terror as a professional creep in Halloween haunts from Atlanta to Harrodsburg. As a result, Derek firmly believes that the best gigs are the ones with indoor plumbing. In spite of being an old dog, he's always eager to learn new tricks, especially if they’re inspired by classic horror films, musicals, or classic horror musicals or Supernatural TV shows. Whether impersonating religious figures, mullet rock stars or just a boy who adores his mother, Derek loves to make people laugh... and scream. Also pie. He really loves him some pie.

Different Drummer Belly Dancers is a troupe that will not be defined. They dance all types of belly dance that moves them, shaking their hips to modern music, and bringing a smile to the faces of their audiences. Different Drummer Belly Dancers (DDBD) is the brainchild of Margaret who is thrilled to celebrate 16 years with her troupe.

 Margaret is the Lion in Lion and LaVeaux Productions and the producer and director of Different Drummer Belly Dancers and their shows. She has been watching Supernatural since it first appeared and has faithfully watched every week. She loves her sexy, crazy, talented friend and is thrilled to be back at the Back Door for this year's Carry On My Wayward Buns! |
 Meg Morley has been belly dancing for a long time. She has a master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies and is working on a PhD inAnthropology, where she researches the impacts of globalization on belly dance in Egypt. She is taking tonight off from her usual mission to educate about Egyptian dance, and presenting a fusion piece. |
